Flame 2023

St Bede's staff and students were accompanied by Fr Tom McHale to join the Hexham & Newcastle Flame Train in the early hours of Saturday 4th March. We joined over 8,000 young people from around the UK for the largest Catholic Youth Event at Wembley Arena in London.

The Theme was 'Rise Up', as young Catholics rise up after the pandemic, as Mary did, for the beautiful adventure of our Catholic Faith.

Speakers included Cardinal Tagle, Archbishop Costelloe, David Wells, Robert Bilott, Brendan & Georgia from Catholic Voices with music and testimonies from Guvna B, Adenike, Gospel Christian Radio, Faith Child and One Hope Project to name but a few.....

Everyone had a fantastic day with many memories to cherish.
